The Kit includes an assembly manual with photos and access to our on-line Technical Support. The Assembly Manual is supplied in pdf format by email to the customer.
The DIY (do it yourself) expression applies to person technically competent. A professional technician / mechanic with experience can do the installation in 3 days. Of course, the first time doing this conversion is going to take some time to get familiar with the components and how they're installed. The conversion is done without welding, fixtures, fabrication. Needed are ordinary hand tool, electric drill and grinder. No difficult modifications.
Nevertheless, the mechanically challenged should not try it at home.
We endeavor to supply everything need to convert the Elise to Honda powered that is not available from Lotus or Honda. The Kit and Options includes everything needed that is not available from Lotus or Honda. We can also supply the Lotus and Honda parts if needed. But, most likely your most cost effective source for those components is your local authorized Elise or Honda / Acura dealer.
The wiring requires moving some wires but, is not difficult and is explained in a separate Electrical Supplement.
