Honda-Elise Electrical Wiring Kit - April 2008
SunSpeed designed and produces a link wiring harness and Vehicle Electrical Control (VEC) to connect the Elise to the Honda power train Everything plugs together. All necessary signals go through the SunSpeed harness / loom to the Elise and Honda components. Complete connection is accomplished in minutes. For all SunSpeed Interface wiring looms / harness the speedometer signal is picked up from the Honda VSS not the Elise wheel speed sensor. The SunSpeed speedometer pick up via the Honda VSS includes a micro controller for calibrating the instrument display.
The SunSpeed wiring harness / loom are built to aerospace standards, by aerospace technicians, with Teflon coated solid wires and, "ruggedized" for positive, durable connections in race conditions. All connectors are size matched, color coded and labeled for easy connection. Schematic diagrams are available.
Communication with the engine management system is done via standard Data Link Connection (DLC) / On Board Diagnostic (OBD II) connector supplied with the SunSpeed wiring harness. Please see OBD II description.
Recommended, strongly that the installer obtain the Honda workshop manual and ETM / Electrica Troubleshooting Manual. An excellent source for these manuals in the US is: Helm Inc.
Note: S1 speedometer is interfaced via the Honda VSS, not the Elise CV sensor. S2 temperature gauge and speedometer via original S2 Elise ecu. The Sun Speed wiring will input to Stack, AIM and other instruments.

Note - It is necessary to use engine computers without immobilizer.
The Kit includes.
All of the electrical components are available for other Honda conversions and, other application. E.g. Ariel Atom, Lotus 7, Honda engine swaps into anything, etc.
